Culture is back on the ground and running! As we return to New Orleans to kick off this year’s ESSENCE Festival of Culture™, we want to give you the ESSENCE experience of a lifetime. From delicious food to unforgettable entertainment, career advancement, and more, we’re going bigger and bolder.
The Essence Marketplace® experience is a unique shopping destination featuring fine art, fine craft, and African handmade artifacts. Entrepreneurs will also present a unique selection of merchandise, packaged food items, t-shirts, Black Excellence apparel, fashion design, African fabric clothing, hats, jewelry, leather crafts, designer accessories, and wearable art items. Niche boutique, handcrafted imports from Africa, collectibles, textile design, and other unique creations will add to this one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Main stage talent, TV personalities, and Artists will shine their light and distinctive brands in Celeb Zone Marketplace exhibits.

The ESSENCE Festival of Culture is the largest festival in the country, drawing in more than 530,000 attendees annually over the July 4th weekend. The festival mobilizes, informs, and uplifts the largest global gathering of everyday multigenerational Black women in a safe space to achieve new levels of sisterhood, personal development, wealth creation, civic engagement & community leadership.

WHERE IS THE ESSENCE FESTIVAL OF CULTURE™?
New Orleans, Louisiana This year, you will get to enjoy more experiences across a variety of venues. Evening concerts will take place at the Caesars Superdome, not including the ESSENCE After Dark shows. Most daytime programming will occur at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is the sixth-largest convention facility in America. The Convention Center venue consistently ranks in the nation’s top ten event facilities and has over 1.1 million square feet of prime exhibit space. The Morial Convention Center has been the venue for the Essence Marketplace & Community and other daytime ESSENCE Festival activations since 1996. The Essence Festival of Culture at the Convention Center is free and open to the public. Festival attendees must register online for free admission to daytime Festival events at the Convention Center venue https://www.essence.com/essence-festival-2022/.
