Shemika Bussey, an abstract artist born in Wurzburg Bavaria, Germany and based in Macon, Georgia, has explored religious beliefs and emotional mindsets and desire through different materials and mediums. Some of her works glow in the dark. Her favorite medium is acrylic. Self-taught, and formally educated at Savannah State University, Shemika began painting as a means of dealing with depression. The range of her art style ranges from calm to chaotic and full of expression. The "Mood Artwork Series” which is all encompassing of freedom tells a story to be desired by the on looker.
