"A Quiet Time" is a whimsical scene in a lush fairy garden. I created this piece while experiencing the crushing weight of uncertainty I experienced after graduating from college and entering adulthood during the height of the pandemic. I intended to illustrate a scene that captures my emotional development during that time of isolation. I learned how to appreciate stillness and being present through gardening and reading. "A Quiet Time" exists as a reminder that I can find peace even when the path ahead of me is so unclear.

Hello! I’m Mojo, a Haitian-American freelance illustrator & content creator. I love expressing my love for color and all things whimsical through my artwork, makeup, and fashion. I like to create imaginative scenes that combine elements of tropical plants, fantasy themes, and whimsical subject matter. My work is heavily influenced by Caribbean folk art, and the characters are often inspired by experiences or people in my personal life.
